Fellow Research Interests

 

Dr. Joseph Graham received his BS degree in Biology from the University of Illinois and his MD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his residency in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Penn, where he served as Chief Resident. His research focus encompasses public health issues with a particular interest in the area of delivery of primary care to urban families.

 

Dr. Jun Mao received a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois and his MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. Dr. Mao completed his residency at the Somerset Family Practice Residency in Somerville, New Jersey. He is also a licensed acupuncturist. Dr. Mao’s research focuses on evaluating the role of Complementary and Alternative medicine for treatment of menopausal symptoms among breast and prostate cancer survivors.

 

Dr. Laura McCray received her BS degree in Biology/Psychology from Middlebury College in Vermont and her MD from Jefferson Medical College. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Dr. McCray's research focus is on diagnosis of depression in a primary care setting and treatment through cognitive behavioral therapy.

 

Dr. Giang Nguyen received his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and his MD and Masters in Public Health from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his residency training in Family Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Dr. Nguyen's research focus is in cancer control and health communication in Asian immigrant populations. He also provides outreach and services to the Asian communities of Philadelphia through his connections with many local community organizations.
